deatours@myerscndllc.comAn alert did not fire
This is almost always a permission rather than a fault. The second question below walks through the five causes in the order they usually turn out to be.

Why does Deatours ask for Always location?
Deatours only earns its keep when it is closed. Alerting you as you drive past a place means iOS has to be able to wake the app while your phone is locked, and only the Always permission allows that. If you choose While Using the App instead, live distances still work but arrival alerts never fire.
I drove past a saved spot and got no alert.
Seven things cause this, in rough order of likelihood. Location is set to While Using the App rather than Always. Precise Location is switched off, so your position is only approximate. Notifications are off for Deatours. Twenty other saved spots were closer to you at the time. The spot was set to a Pit Stop, so its alerts are off and it is kept for reference only. You turned that spot's alerts back on while you were already inside its circle, in which case Deatours waits until you leave and come back. Or you were already inside the circle when the spot was saved, in which case Deatours waits until you leave and come back.
How do I change how early it alerts me?
Open Settings inside the app. Speed adaptive gives you a separate distance for walking, driving and highway speed, which is the default and starts at a quarter mile, one mile and two miles. Fixed uses one distance no matter how fast you are moving. Both are yours to change.
Can I keep a place on my list without being alerted about it?
Yes. Open the place from My Spots and turn its Alerts switch off. It becomes a Pit Stop: it stays on your list and in Trip and En Route, you can still navigate to it, but it is never watched and never alerts. Its row shows a gray dot and a Pit Stop tag. Turn Alerts back on and it starts watching again on your next approach. If you turn it back on while you are already inside its circle, it waits until you leave and come back before it alerts.
How many places can Deatours watch at once?
Twenty. That is a limit iOS puts on every app, not a choice Deatours made. You can save as many spots as you like, and the app keeps the twenty nearest to you armed, swapping them as you travel.
Does it work without a mobile signal?
Arrival alerts do. The distance is measured on your phone and the notification is created there too, so a tunnel or a dead zone does not stop it. Searching for a new place to save does need a connection, because that is the one part that asks a server.
How do I delete everything Deatours has?
Delete the app from your phone. That is the only step that removes every part of it, including the record of past alerts. Clear all spots, on the Settings screen inside the app, removes your saved spots but keeps that record. Everything Deatours stores lives on the device either way, so there is no account to close and no copy held anywhere else.
Your privacy
Deatours keeps your location on your phone and has no accounts or analytics. The privacy policy sets out exactly what the app stores, the two things that ever leave the device, and how to remove all of it.
